Aisha Naseem , Interim Co-Executive Director

Aisha (they/ them) is a proud third-generation organizer, abolitionist, artist, and child of Indian Muslim immigrants. Aisha brings over a decade of experience working in equity and accessibility across the non-profit, government, and private sectors. Prior to serving as interim Co-Executive Director at Trans Lifeline, Aisha spent three years leading Trans Lifeline’s Board of Director’s Equity Committee, and time serving as Interim Chief of Staff. Aisha has worked in community outreach roles for the Obama Administration, State Department, Bernie Sanders 2016 Presidential campaign, and as an organizer with MASGD. As a former executive board member of the Campaign Workers Guild, a union that fights for fair wages and a higher standard of HR and labor practices to cultivate grassroots organizing talent, Aisha is passionate about policy creation that centers those most impacted. In 2020, Aisha earned a Master’s in Social Work and Social Policy at the University of Chicago. In their free time, Aisha is a self-taught florist and parent to 23 houseplants.
