León Powell, Bilingual Community Specialist

Born and raised in beautiful Oaxaca, Mexico, León Powell grew up surrounded by art, tradition, color and flavors. They now make their home in New Mexico. He has worked with the Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico as a trainer, Spanish interpreter, and support group facilitator. León (/le-ohn/) also freelances as a bodyworker, illustrator, graphic designer, and translator. León’s lived experience as a queer, binational, multiethnic, transmasculine and non-binary person, informs their work at Trans Lifeline, and he is grateful and proud to work for an organization that shares his personal values. León goes by gender neutral (they/them) and masculine (he/him) pronouns.
