Hotlines That Avoid Police

These hotlines can provide alternatives to police intervention and avoid the use of police in most cases. Some utilize other first responders such as mobile crisis units with mental health professionals, who are mandated reporters. It’s always a good idea to ask all hotlines about policies before disclosing information that could lead to an involuntary intervention.
