Tea Brown, Board Member
Tea Brown (they/them/theirs) joined the Trans Lifeline board in 2024. They currently engage in equity work at Equitas Health in Columbus, Ohio. They focus on anti-racist action and liberatory education to support the most marginalized. Tea has been a community organizer for many years, including being a core organizer with Black Queer and Intersectional Collective. They have presented at many local and national conferences, including the Transforming Care Conference and the National Conference on Race and Ethnicity. Their passion is in education and facilitating systems change.
Tea works with an abolitionist framework centered on transformative justice and belief in collective power. They center a love politic anchored in interdependence and genuine connection. Their work is rooted in the ideologies of community care and transformative justice to reinvent a culture of trust and respect. Tea is working towards a Bachelors in Human Services, with visions of a Masters in Instructional Design. They are a queer parent, writer, and tarot reader in other dimensions of their life.
