Exciting Additions: Meet Trans Lifeline’s New Board Members

‘When trans rights are under attack. What do we do? Stand up and fight back!’

As our community continues to face countless attacks, we must continue to empower and highlight community leaders to take on this challenging work, especially as we are the ones directly impacted.

In 2024, Trans Lifeline welcomed our Executive Director, kai alviar horton (he/they), who has led this organization with poise, determination, and grace in a short time. kai, we see you and thank you for your leadership. Please know that the Board continues to be in awe of all that you carry on behalf of our illustrious community.

In January 2025, we onboarded three new Board members: Tea Brown (they/them), Nat Moghe (he/they), and Qamar Yochanan (he/him). Each new board member brings about diverse expertise and a refreshing perspective of how to lead Trans Lifeline. We look forward to working in solidarity with all Board members, and Trans Lifeline at-large to provide critical resources to our community when we all need them the most.

So, when they ask “what does community look like?” Always remember that at Trans Lifeline, “this is what community looks like.”

Signed,
Ace Sutherland
